Clara Rival

Painter - Visual Artist

Clara Rival is a painter born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1986. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts with a focus on PaintClandestina in Poblenoud Nacional de las Artes (UNA) in Buenos Aires. She has enriched her training through various workshops and critiques with renowned artists such as Silvana Lacarra, Margarita García Faure, and Kekena Corvalán.

She has been awarded scholarships for two art residencies: one at “Dahaus” (Argentina, 2016) and another at “Graniti” (Italy, 2018). Additionally, she completed a third residency at “Casa Rosa” (Mexico, 2017). Her work has been exhibited at the Exhibition Hall of the Buenos Aires City Legislature (Argentina), "Tonalá" (Mexico City), and the "Teukari Gallery" (Nayarit, Mexico). In 2021, she was selected by public vote to exhibit at "The Brick Lane Gallery" (London, England) and was a finalist in the "Don Papa Rhum" competition in Paris (France), where her work was acquired by the organizing foundation.

She has also participated in art fairs such as "The Other Art Fair" in Brooklyn (United States, 2021). In 2022 and 2023, she was represented by "Praxis Gallery" and exhibited at "Phuyu Gallery," both in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She currently resides in Barcelona, where she has her studio at La Clandestina in Poblenou, where she also teaches art workshops.
