Clara Rival is always searching for a place; once she finds it, she sets off to search for another. Her artistic practice revolves around creating landscapes where the real world converges with the imaginary. Clara is drawn to crafting atmospheres that drift between dream and wakefulness, the organic and the architectural, the pastel and the fluorescent. She constructs worlds: explorations of the impossible. Her works transform into maps and invitations to enter these fantastical territories, floating through unfamiliar realms. A place where natural vastness intertwines with lost paradises or the mysticism hidden in the courtyard of any ordinary home.

Vibrant colors, surreal plants, staircases, and portals that promise passage to another side. An oasis brimming with botanicals, fields, deserts, and waterfalls, an act of political imagination envisioning a bucolic landscape around our cities, whispering and promising another possible world.
