Takhmin Mirzoev is the Director of Zema Contemporary, leading the gallery’s curatorial vision and international development. He holds an MBA from KU Leuven in Brussels, with a focus on sustainability management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the Higher School of Economics in Moscow. With a professional background in international strategy and project leadership, including senior roles at GfK, he brings a structured and forward looking approach to gallery practice, supporting the sustainable growth of contemporary artistic programs.
His professional engagement with the art field developed through exhibition production and gallery operations. Mirzoev began his work in contemporary art as a project specialist at Duende Art Gallery in Istanbul, where he contributed to the planning and execution of exhibitions and gallery programs. He later worked under the professional guidance of curator Gabriella Uhl, gaining experience in curatorial practice, artist relations, and institutional standards. These roles established his expertise in managing exhibitions, developing coherent curatorial frameworks, and maintaining professional rigor across all stages of gallery activity.
As Director of Zema Contemporary, Mirzoev focuses on positioning the gallery as a sustainable and internationally oriented platform for contemporary artistic practice. His work centers on long-term collaboration with artists, the development of carefully structured exhibition programs, and the cultivation of relationships with collectors, institutions, and partner galleries. Combining curatorial clarity with market awareness, he emphasizes transparency, professionalism, and strategic growth, strengthening Zema Contemporary’s presence within the international contemporary art landscape.
